I would have expected alower percentage. But not many of themstay at the university after graduating andthat is the reason why we have only a fewfemale professors. I am really glad that Iwas working for one, Professor TamaraStryzhak, during my stay in Kiev. My 8weeks here were a very important experiencefor me and I want to thank the UkrainianIAESTE–Team for this opportunity. Itis very difficult for mathematicians to findpractical training in a foreign country and Icould not believe that I got the training inUkraine. On the day of the decision wewere 10 mathematicians for only 4 placesin different countries!In Kiev I worked at the mathematical departmentof KPI and liked it very much.There were three IAESTE trainees: twoGerman girls and one girl from Switzerland.Every week we met Tamara who gaveus new tasks.
